Studio Assistant Manager

We are looking for a resourceful and enthusiastic candidates who want to contribute their talents to a community-focused business.  The Studio Assistant Manager will assist in managing day-to-day operations at Studio Serenity, including: overseeing team of studio assistants, customer service, retail sales, studio facilities, supplies.  The Studio Assistant Manager will perform, coordinate and oversee technical and studio administrative duties in support of the Studio Manager and the Studio Manager’s staff, including the provision of varied and complex studio duties; may supervise clerical and other support staff, and perform other duties as assigned.

 

Position includes:

  • Prioritizing and delegating projects and details that keep the business running smoothly.

  • Facilitating customer check-in; 5 times a week and occasionally as need arises.

  • Knowing and selling products and merchandise.

  • Understanding the customer management software and guiding/troubleshooting with staff.

  • Ensuring the studio is in order (clean and well-stocked) for yoga practice.

  • Research and development of new ideas to grow and add value to the studio.

  • Handling questions, requests, and orders that come through the studio phone and email.

  • Distribution of promotional materials in neighborhood as needed.
  • Setting up studio’s internal mini boutique, maintaining product inventory and customer relations.

  • Customer service, management and retail experience is preferred. In particular, the ideal candidate will possess:
    • Positive, outgoing, and friendly attitude.
    • Ability to develop excellent rapport with customers and provide thorough customer service.
    • Strong initiative and problem solving abilities.
    • Ability to follow-through, resourcefulness, and ability to make decisions.
    • Ability to accept direction, and be accountable for one’s work outcomes, including following through on projects or responsibilities with a sense of ownership ability to exhibit grace under pressure and multi-tasking.
    • Ability to be a team player, recognizing that the studio assistant manager’s work and outcomes affects all other members on the management team and the students.
    • Enjoy working alone as well as being part of a team.

Compensation:

  • Benefits:  Unlimited monthly yoga passes, 20% discount on workshops/events, boutique merchandise and retreats. Company paid retreat after one year.
