yin yoga   - all levels

Yin yoga is the practice of moving mindfully from one seated or supine pose to the next, settling in each pose for an extended period, and moving our attention inward. In a Yin Yoga practice, we take each pose slowly and passively, finding power in stillness, and focusing on the deeper connective tissues of the joints (thighs, hips, pelvis, and lower spine), ligaments, fascia, and bones.

meditation & kirtan

silent meditation (vipassana)

silent meditation is the practice of Vipassana meditation, the way of self-transformation through inner observation. It focuses on the deep interconnection between mind and body, which can be experienced directly by disciplined attention to the physical sensations that form the life of the body, and that continuously interconnect and condition the life of the mind. It is this observation-based, self-exploratory journey to the common root of mind and body that dissolves mental impurity, resulting in a balanced mind full of love and compassion.

guided meditation

Every Friday morning there is a guided meditation course which introduces students to the techniques behind a silent meditation practice.  If you feel intimidated by the idea of attending a silent meditation, or are brand new to meditating in general, this would be the perfect class for you.
