Yoga for Beginners
Yoga for Beginners will teach students the fundamentals of vinyasa yoga. The class offers an introduction and exploration of alignment, breathing, strength, flexibility, balance and relaxation, and taking students through poses in a step by step practice. This is the perfect class for those who are just starting to learn and practice yoga, as well as anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of the basics of their practice.
We will take the time to explore ujjayi breathing techniques and relaxation skills.No prior experience with yoga required. Room temperature: 76 degrees.
Lunar Lotus (Yoga I)
Lunar Lotus is a vinyasa class designed with a slower pace. Lunar Lotus classes incorporate the full spectrum of vinyasa yoga in a meditative, measured flow: lunar sun salutations (step-back), standing poses, seated poses, twists, backbends, and inversions. The poses are linked with fluid movement leading through the postures and initiated by the breath. Lunar Lotus yoga helps you gain balance, flexibility and relaxation. Perfect for those who enjoy a more meditative focus while not compromising a challenging workout. Lunar Lotus is accessible to yogis relatively new to yoga yet offers a deep and satisfying practice to even advanced students by holding poses, incorporates asana that deeply stretch and open the body, and developed a renewed sense of awareness and stillness. Appropriate for all levels. Room temperature: 78 degrees.
Open Lotus (Mixed-Level)
Open Lotus yoga is a mixed level class, designed for beginners, intermediate, and experienced yogis alike, to continue your Vinyasa practice. Basic yoga experience is required! The class is faster paced but offers modifications for individual needs. Solar sun salutatations are practiced with jump back and jump forward, including chatturanga, upward-facing dog and more challenging poses combine to take your practice to the next level. This is not a class for those who are brand new to vinyasa yoga. Some experience with vinyasa or ashtanga yoga is recommended. Room temperature: 80 degrees.
              
Fire Lotus (Yoga 2)
Fire Lotus yoga is our level 2 class and offers a more challenging and heating practice. Fire Lotus is a vigorous class that will challenge your practice and will take your asanas to the next level. Our level 2 class is great for yogis familiar with vinyasa yoga and who wish to push the limits of their practice. These classes include: jump-throughs, complex arm-balances and inversions such as headstand, handstand, and forearm stand to a vigorous vinyasa flow, challenging twists and balancing poses. Fire Lotus yoga also incorporates ujjayi breathing and engaging the bandhas. Fire Lotus yoga should only be taken if a yogi has taken 20 or more classes. Room temperature: 82-84 degrees.
                  
Wild Lotus (Yoga 3)
Wild Lotus yoga is open to students comfortable in Fire Lotus classes and faster paced vinyasa sequences. Wild Lotus yoga is the most challenging class we offer and is designed for yogis who wish to explore the edge of their practice with an intense, playful and adventurous routine. This is the perfect class for those looking to really challenge themselves. This class is faster paced, and incorporates advanced and complex balancing poses, backbends, twists, and inversions. Pranayama, chanting, bandha practice are frequently integrated in the class. This class is recommended for advanced students. Room temperature: 84-86 degrees.
